Photo dated November 1, 1924, shows the Western State Normal School marching band performing on the day of a game with Oshkosh, Wisconson. In the background the new Men's Gymnasium in under construction and the Science Building can be seen on Prospect Hill.
(It should be noted that the name Western State Teachers College was not bestowed by the Michigan Legislature until 1927.)
