University Magazine: Spring / Summer Issue, 1970

The "University Magazine", a precursor to the current "WMU Magazine", was a quarterly publication of WMU's Alumni Relations Office, produced by the Office of University Information.

The featured article of the Spring/Summer, 1970 issue of the "University Magazine" described the planned and ongoing physical changes to the University campus. Titled "The Return of the Pedestrian" and written by Dr. Myron L. Coulter, WMU Vice President for Institutional Services, the article summarizes the goals and results of many years of physical master planning by University staff and consultants.

The principle concepts guiding the campus reorganization were:
