Construction began in the Spring of 2005 on the new Chemistry
Building. Currently, the building exterior is 90% complete. The
mechanical and plumbing is 98% complete Metal studs, drywall, and
interior masonry walls have been installed on all floors. Laboratory
casework is scheduled for installation in the month of September.
The Miller Plaza Promenade is completed as well, along the west side
of the new Chemistry Building.
The building completion is slated for October of 2006, with classes
to be held in the building January 2007. The building dedication
is scheduled for December, 2006.
